About
The Lake District National Park is an area of outstanding Natural Beauty, known the world over for its stunning scenery. The famous lakes, framed by rugged fells, create dramatic vistas that stay in the memory of the visitor long after they have left.
On the southern edge of the Lakeland lies the ancient market town of Kendal. Here in 1913, James Wilson first made the famous Kendal Mint Cake that has sustained so many, from the gentle fell walker to the intrepid mountaineer.
As well as hand producing Mint Cake in the same way for over 100 years, Wilsons of Kendal also offers a range of confectionery and gift food made from the finest ingredients and to the same high standard that James Wilson established back in 1913.
Wilson's began with a shop in Kendal High Street, making traditional Kendal Mint Cake delivered throughout the Lakes by pony and trap.
Wilsons of Kendal is now designed and distributed by D. Quiggins Ltd. A family run business that was established in Kendal in 1845 and delivers daily around the Lake District.
